Diving Instruction - PADI

PADI, the Professional Association of Diving Instructors, is the world’s largest association for the qualification of divers. In a PADI course students learn basic diving concepts through independent study and are then guided by instructors in furthering their development. The main objective is enabling students to enter the water as soon as possible and providing them with the necessary instruction so as to gain confidence as a diver.

All PADI programs, from Beginner to Instructor levels, follow strict quality standards, which as a result allow for consistent quality throughout all learning stages.

Among the beginners courses offered by instructors of the PADI method are the Bubblemaker Course, aimed at children of between eight and nine; the Seal Team Course, where basic principles of safe diving are learned and the Discover Scuba Course, where students dive under the supervision of a PADI instructor in a swimming pool or in conditions similar to pools one would find in holiday resorts.

The Scuba Diver Courses are available for those who have already tried their hand at diving. This involves a sub-program of the certificate and is a qualification prior to the first level, ideal for holiday makers or for those intending to dive only a few times a year.

Students completing the sub program of the Open Water Diver Course will enjoy the possibility of diving with a partner regardless of their being professional divers or not.

The advanced PADI courses include PADI Adventures in Diving, PADI Specialty Diver and PADI Rescue Diver. These courses allow students to learn specific additional skills, gain confidence in or near water, further their understanding of the diving world and dive in sites where only divers with advanced training qualify.
