NACD
National Association for Cave Diving
El NACD was established in 1968 with the purpose of promoting
safer cave diving through training and instruction. As a pioneer
in the training, education, exploration and research on caves,
NACD’s goals involve:
• Setting up and maintaining the current guidelines
in the form of physical and psychological standards, as well
as the necessary techniques and gear for safe cave diving.
• Furthering education and disseminating information
on safe cave diving through the organization’s facilities
and providing an advanced education and training program essential
to safe cave diving.
• Achieving wider spread cooperation and understanding
among the members of the recreational and cave diving community
(as well as the public in general) so that together they can
work toward the common goal of increasing cave diving safety.
• Exploring underwater caves and encouraging educations
and distributing information to the government, the private
industry and the public in general.
NSS

The NSS was founded for the purpose of advancing and expanding
the study, conservation, exploration and knowledge of caves.
Over 12,000 members in 200 caves organize regular meetings
in order to coordinate activities among the speleologists.
